Another sketch to go with the gas attendant! This is on Renfro Street in Brownfield, TX, and the family that lived here was named 'Renfro'. They owned a gas station and another shop on Main Street. So many memories in these old photos. I love these old houses and hate to see them disappear! Thanks to Glenda for sharing them with me. There is one more Sketch to come...
soon!
I love to draw and sketch, and have kept sketchbooks for years! This blog is strictly for my sketches past and present...There is nothing quite like finishing a sketchbook and look back through it and remember all the fun things that I got to sketch! Or filling a sketchbook from a trip. Or just sharing your sketchbooks. It is like your own visual diary. If you are interested in getting updates, to to the right side bar and add your email address. Fun Sketch
This is a sketch for a friend. It is her Dad. She wanted her home, car and Dad sketched, so this is the first one. I used a tombow marker. He definitely brought back memories for me. I remember the Gas station attendants who came to your car, washed the windshield, checked tires, etc. Whatever happened to those days! They always opened the hood and checked under there too!

Days of December Collage
I just finished 31 days of December. It was a lot of fun. I used a
5x5 hand book sketchbook. One of my favorites. I had a list on World of
Watercolor on Face Book. I used ink, watercolor, gouache and even some
Casein. Gold ink as well as black.
It was fun. There are a few that I didn't get done. It is hard to get one done each day. I sketch at night, so sometimes it would be 11:00 before I was finishing.

Day 27-28
We are nearing the end of the 30 days of Christmas! It has been fun.
I did skip out on a couple of days.
Day 27 was draw a scarf and 28 was mittens.
My husband mentioned the three little kittens that lost their mittens, so I added our 3 cats.
They are brothers and so cute. I named them Tom Dick and Harry!

Days 17 and 18-December Challenge
This challenge has been fun because I love to draw Christmas stuff! I love painting funny snow people. Day 17 is the cowboy. I love stick horses so I had to add that!
Day 18 is Candy. When we were kids ribbon candy was the candy my mother would buy, and we loved it! Maybe it was all the color that I liked!

Catching up
Well I missed day 10 and 12 so here is Day 11 and 13.
Day 10 was supposed to be a sweater
Day 11 was the Poinsettia
Day 12 was a Cake
and Day 13 Lights.
On the Poinsettia I put down reds and yellows along with splatters.
Then after dried I drew the flower with ink and painted with watercolor.
For Day 13 i wanted my lights to be different, so I added the cotton and called it the color of cotton. I miss farming. We grew cotton for 40 years, and I love seeing the harvest.
