Western Art is my very favorite! This is a saddle with a white seat, on a white horse. I used the DeAtramentis Tobacco ink to draw with. It is not waterproof so you can soften it.
This is in a mole skin sketchbook. I really like the way it paints!
I love to draw and sketch, and have kept sketchbooks for years! This blog is strictly for my sketches past and present...There is nothing quite like finishing a sketchbook and look back through it and remember all the fun things that I got to sketch! Or filling a sketchbook from a trip. Or just sharing your sketchbooks. It is like your own visual diary. If you are interested in getting updates, to to the right side bar and add your email address. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Wash Day
This is an old sketch, done on location in New Mexico. Such fun memories here!
Don Getz taught the sketching plein air workshop, and was one of my favorite workshops ever!
Wish I could go again.

New Sketches
These are just some more Santa Fe sketches. For the fish and the cactus I put down swatches of color, let it dry then sketched on the color.
