I found this old car going to Sweetwater TX. i had to ask more than once for Ken to stop!
It is done in a new sketchbook. Strathmore 8x5.5. I used the brown ink that I love.
I am teaching a 2 day 'Sketchbook' Class June 23-24. It is almost full, if you are interested, contact me. It is $100 for both days.
I love to draw and sketch, and have kept sketchbooks for years! This blog is strictly for my sketches past and present...There is nothing quite like finishing a sketchbook and look back through it and remember all the fun things that I got to sketch! Or filling a sketchbook from a trip. Or just sharing your sketchbooks. It is like your own visual diary. If you are interested in getting updates, to to the right side bar and add your email address. Please contact me if you have any questions.

old Blue Pickup
Friday in class we concentrated on just drawing with ink. They did great. Drawing this way gives you confidence I think.
The old blue pick up was drawn with the DeAtrementis Tobacco ink, which I love!
after I got it done, there was so much blue with the sky I added the side boards.
The bottom one was an old truck, and I used an elegant writer to sketch it, then I added the imaginary city scape behind it just for fun. The Elegant writer changes colors when wet. I really like using them too.
Sketchbook Workshop June 23-24. come join us!
I still have a few spots left. $100 for both days.

More Sketches- Sketchbook Workshop June 23-24th
These are in a 5x5 Square hand Book Sketch book, which finishes it! Yay! a new sketchbook!
The first one is something I made up playing with markers and using some ideas from a sketchbook by James Richards. I used his tree ideas, etc. plus I just used a black marker, then the red awning with watercolor.
The little red car was fun. A photo I took in Wolfforth, TX.
I am having a sketchbook 2 day workshop, June 23-24th. It is here in my little studio at Plains.
The cost is $100 for both days. The space is limited but still have room now.
