I am still using the toned paper sketchbook with watercolor and gouache.
I love to draw and sketch, and have kept sketchbooks for years! This blog is strictly for my sketches past and present...There is nothing quite like finishing a sketchbook and look back through it and remember all the fun things that I got to sketch! Or filling a sketchbook from a trip. Or just sharing your sketchbooks. It is like your own visual diary. If you are interested in getting updates, to to the right side bar and add your email address. Days 17 and 18-December Challenge
This challenge has been fun because I love to draw Christmas stuff! I love painting funny snow people. Day 17 is the cowboy. I love stick horses so I had to add that!
Day 18 is Candy. When we were kids ribbon candy was the candy my mother would buy, and we loved it! Maybe it was all the color that I liked!

Sketch turned into a Christmas Card
I did a boot sketch and the owner of the boots liked the sketch and
said just throw some lights or something and make a card with it. So
thanks to Gouache i could do that. It turned out cute for a western
Christmas card. The Tag will have Merry Christmas on it.
They have a cute dog, named Fuzz, and he will be on the inside with the verse.

Visit to a Ranch.
More drawings and sketches. I was gone for several days this past week teaching so I am just now adding some more. I love to do these at night watching tv. I got to visit a ranch before I came home and these are from the photos I took. The ash tray is such a cute addition to their home! The 2nd picture is a bit for a bridle. and then the end of their house, that was built in 1938. It was so cozy and neat. original doors, etc. really fun to see it. The last one is their dog Fuzz. He was so pretty and friendly.
